The Co-Founders: Big Idea & Web 2.0

Zul Momin Co-Founder & CEO

Intrigued by web 2.0 startups, Zul always had a passion for entrepreneurship. He began his web-career as co-founder of Rewardworks.com, a loyalty reward program that brought together retailers with consumers. Launching in the early days of e-commerce, this company concept was a groundbreaker and paved the way for later web mega-successes like Groupon. Serving as CEO of LynxSquare, Zul drives the company's vision, product strategy, and growth. He also oversees strategic alliances and raising venture capital funding to take LynxSquare into multimillion dollar revenue company. Holding an MBA, Zul Momin's extensive research in the B2C space has led him to create this Patent Pending collaborative social trading exchange platform which has been received by the online shopping community with open arms. The LynxSquare online marketplace is a solution that introduces collaborative shopping to help consumers not only save money but also help protect the environment and conserve the earth resources through the recycling of new product.

Ahmed Moledina Co-Founder & COO

Ahmed is the second half of LynxSquare's dynamic duo. He has over 15 years of solid financial management, consulting and analysis experience, with particular focus in the area of high-tech start-up financial operations establishment and management. Holding an MBA, and his career as a Lead Technical Analyst for Lotus Development Corp/IBM, Ahmed Moledina is now COO at LynxSquare where he brings his understanding of the Open Source platform and the compliance issues associated with online shopping, consumer privacy and social media networking. His former role as co-founder of Titan Solutions Group, Inc., a Beacon Award winning IBM Premier business Partner firm serving the custom software development, staffing and licensed software needs of Fortune 500 clients including: Federal Express,DR Horton, American Express,Progressive Insurance, Technical Olympic, and others has positioned him well for the operations and growth planned for the LynxSquare marketplace.

 

Team

Harlan Beverly Marketing Director

Harlan is a passionate entrepreneur living in Austin, TX, focused on marketing and building great companies. In 2005, Harlan founded Bigfoot Networks, Inc., a gaming hardware company, which sold to Qualcomm in 2011. Harlan then founded Karmaback, Inc. which has grown into a very successful Social Network tools business. Harlan regularly lectures at U.T. Austin on Business, and is passionate about the convergence of hard science with Business. He received his BSEE from Ohio Northern University and MBA from University of Texas at Austin. Previously, Harlan worked at Intel and was responsible for architecture and development of corporate server networking products, including the world's first 10-Gigabit Ethernet adapter. He later joined start-up Britestream Networks and helped develop a 100% CPU off-load SSL security solution. Harlan has over 30 patents from his engineering career, has been published in dozens of books and articles. At LynxSquare Harlan is responsible for development and implementation of marketing and social media strategies, audiences, tactics and measurement to ensure that company's goals and objectives are achieved.

 

Dan Leatherman Designer

Dan is an experienced Designer who's passionate about growing the global economy through entrepreneurialism and the web. Having worked with a wide range of companies from boot strapped startups to large established businesses he's acquired the skill sets and diplomacy needed to succeed. He is a user-centered Designer who makes functional interfaces across devices and screen sizes. He believes the user and their interaction should be the most important thing considered across all stages of the product's design. At LynxSquare Dan is responsible for the production design, modification and web application's user interfaces. He closely work with the entire development team, information architects, and other developers, to realize the optimal web technology solution.

 

Zoe Platek Digital Marketing Strategist

Zoe is a pioneer of online social marketing. She's been in the business since 2004, before the existence of the term social media. She has worked over 200 campaigns for businesses, political interests, and private projects. She uses her education and experience in film production to create expert narratives and strategies that engage customers and drive people to action.  

Zoe has been online since 1985 and has honed her communication skills alongside the evolution of the internet. She credits her key to success to an intuitive understanding of brands and to a healthy respect for the consumers, their community, and their lifestyle. It's this deep understanding of people and their needs that helps her plug sales-based messaging into the lives of the right people - thereby creating relevancy and that human connection that distinguishes social media marketing from advertising. At LynxSquare Zoe is responsible for the development of digital marketing efforts, tactics, and data integration strategies to ensure the company continues to perform along the cutting edge of the collaborative shopping marketplace.

 

Curtis Schlaufman Community Management Specialist

After graduating Cal State Fullerton with a bachelors in Political Science in 2009, Curtis became Digital Marketing coordinator for The Rainmaker Network LLC in charge of connecting the company's online presence to 100 universities across the country. Curtis's next project was as a Digital Marketing Manager for Zaarly a location based startup that became an overnight sensation at the SXSW Festival. Curtis executed SEO strategies and developed cross-linking plans for their online interactive media platforms. This evolved into his current role as consulting Community Management Specialist for LynxSquare.

Sada Cumber Advisor

Sada Cumber possesses a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, executive, fiduciary, diplomat and civic leader. He has earned the trust of investors, the business community, and state and federal leaders. His experience, relationships and sound ethical approach to corporate governance qualify him uniquely as an independent director, senior executive, outside consultant or special advisor to well-suited companies. Over the past 30 years, Sada has founded a dozen enterprises and successfully negotiated several exit transactions. Sada's entrepreneurial success rests upon a combination of sound business instincts, extensive experience in corporate governance and leadership, as well as a detailed understanding of multiple industries, including imaging technology, cyber-security and consumer products.
Sada has broad experience in the areas of board oversight, senior management strategies, business development, corporate funding/finance, strategic marketing, international business, cross corporate relations/alliances, spin-offs, start-ups and turnarounds, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property development and licensing, and brings to bear an applied expertise in harnessing internal and external forces that drive an enterprise. 

His seasoned leadership skills have earned him a reputation for being fair, self-assured, decisive and trustworthy. Sada's recent corporate experience and achievements include:

  • Founder & Chairman of SozoTek, Inc., a developer and provider of digital image enhancement technology to wireless imaging service providers (2003-Present)
  • Founder & Chairman of TCMS, LLC, a developer and licensor of proprietary digital technology for the medical and cosmetic industries (2005-Present)
  • Principal of Texas Global, LLP, an Austin-based consultancy focusing on the strategic intersection of business, government and public affairs (2005-Present)
  • Founder, Chairman & CEO of Psionic Technologies, Inc., an internet security software company that was acquired by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) (1999-2003)
  • Founder & Vice Chairman of Applied Science Fiction, a developer of digital dry film process and digital photo enhancement and restoration technology whose assets were acquired by Kodak (NYSE: EK) (1995-2003)
  • In addition to his business and entrepreneurial accomplishments, Sada has served on numerous community boards, civic organizations, advisory councils and foundations, including:
  • Texas Governor's Business Council, Texas Economic Development Board, Governor's Task Force on Higher Education (all 3 appointments by Governor Rick Perry)

In international public service, Sada was appointed as an Ambassador by President George W. Bush serving as first U.S. Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). He also currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Neil Patel Advisor

Neil Patel is the co-founder of 2 Internet companies: Crazy Egg and KISSmetrics. Through his entrepreneurial career he has helped large corporations such as Amazon, AOL, GM, HP and Viacom make more money from the web. By the age of 21 not only was he named one of the top influencers on the web according to the Wall Street Journal, but he was also named one of the top entrepreneurs in the nation by Entrepreneur magazine. Neil has also received Congressional Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives for his work in the nonprofit sector.
